How the Six of Swords is Relevant to Me

I definitely feel like I am coming through the other side following my accident. There are some things that I have started to feel may be permanent, in terms of my mobility. I am not convinced I will get full function of my left hand back. I am already adapting and will continue to seek adaptations to make daily tasks easier to manage. As far as my mobility goes with walking, that comes down to the nerve pain and whether time is all that is needed. I am heading to Addenbrookes today so hopefully my consultant can give me a better prognosis.

Despite these ongoing issues, I feel excited about the future. A week today we take our helmsman course and the day after that, Message in a Bottle is having her survey done. I feel hopeful that this will go well and the transfer of ownership can be done swiftly. I have already started shopping for boat supplies so I will be disappointed if we have to start over with our search. She is the perfect boat for us and I it would take a long time to find another that compares to her.

It is a nice feeling to have so much to look forward to. I hate the fact that my mobility has been affected to this extent but we have an opportunity to change our lives for the better. It wont be easy and there will be times we question our choices.

For someone who loves change as much as I do, I intend to fully embrace this journey.
