How Does it Work

Once you have completed the form, the process begins.

Many people like to have emailed tarot readings. It’s really nice to have something tangible that you can go back to. If there is something you are struggling with, being able to read it back over, whilst reflecting on the question can be super helpful.

Understanding Tarot Readings

Tarot readings are not fortune telling as such. Each card in the deck holds a unique meaning, influenced by its position in the spread. There is often a great deal of nuance, particularly in the more involved spreads where the individual meanings can crossover with other cards in the spread. As I prepare for a reading, I connect with my intuition and create a safe space where I can tap into my spiritual guide.

Steps to Conducting a Tarot Reading

To begin, I prepare my space. I use my favourite cloth which is purple velvet. I happened to choose this colour as I loved it but importantly, in tarot, purple symbolises spirituality, higher wisdom, psychic intuition and hidden knowledge. I light a candle and some patchouli incense before gathering your chosen tarot deck. I use a smoky quartz crystal to cleanse any negative energy and I spend some time with my Amethyst crystal to enhance my intuition. If you have been kind enough to provide with me a photograph, I spend some time meditating with this in front of my to build a connection. As I shuffle the tarot cards I take my time thinking about your question or situation. This process allows the cards to absorb their energy. Afterwards, I cut the cards before laying them out in your chosen spread. I only take a photograph of your spread once I have completed the reading and typed it up; I do not want anything to interfere with my process.

Creating your Personalized PDF

Once the tarot reading is complete, the first step is to get everything swirling in my head onto a document. The first thing I do is type everything onto a blank google doc. I literally just start typing and don’t even think about what is coming out of my head. It just kind of spills out intuitively, I am not sure how else to explain it. If I tried to type up your reading whilst also creating a lovely neat PDF it wouldn’t work. The reading has to be completely natural and free flowing.

I then go through and compile my insights into a structured PDF document. I try to find a balance of wanting it be very clear for you to understand but also, has a natural feel like a reading would if you were sat in front of me. This is completely personalised and is linked to the question you have asked. This not only provides you with a record of the session but also gives you a tool to reflect on and apply these insights in your life. My intention is that this experience feels completely personalised to you, not just in the reading but also the PDF. I hope that you are left feeling more connected to your own intuition and feelings towards your path ahead.

Please find below a more detailed description of my most popular spreads. If you have one in mind that is not shown below, please do not hesitate to contact me here. I can use your preferred spread or, if you have a particular question in mind, I can create a bespoke spread, ensuring a truly personalised experience.

This is probably the most popular reading, at least for those wanting to dip their toes into the beautiful world of tarot.

It is a great place to start if you are looking to delve into some self exploration and try to get a handle on what has been, where you are now, and what may be to come.

  1. Past influences can represent the historical or root cause of the situation you are looking to explore. If you have any lingering energy you may not have fully dealt with, this is where it can come through.
  2. Present Situation symbolises the energy that may be dictating your current circumstances. Depending on the question you are looking to answer, this can highlight any current obstacles/opportunities that may be present.
  3. Future Outcomes shows what could happen should you stay on your current path. It is important to remember that tarot is not set in stone. The future hasn’t happened yet and you can still change what is to come, should you wish to.

This could relate to any aspect of your life. Is there a family matter you are struggling to navigate? Do you feel like you have reached a fork in the road and don’t know which route to take? Is there an opportunity to advance your career and you are unsure whether to go for it? There is always a reason to second guess every scenario but together we can break it down for you.

  1. Your current situation is where you are right now in reference to your particular question. This will give you a good understanding of what is going on both in the physical and spiritual realms.
  2. Obstacles in your way could be actual physical obstacles or they could be psychological. Either way, you need to know what they are so you can deal with them. I am a big believer in knowing the truth of any situation, even if it isn’t always what you want to hear.
  3. What guidance do you need in order to find closure, move on or face things head on. Things are very rarely black and white and you may be feeling conflicted. Let’s see if we can make things a bit clearer.
  1. Mind is an indicator of how you are doing mentally. You may have a million thoughts going around your head or maybe it is your stress levels you are worried about. Whatever the issue, the cards can help focus your mind on the heart of the matter.
  2. Body relates to the physical realm. How are your energy levels right now? Do you feel like your needs are being met? Our body has a funny way of letting us know there is something going on that we may or may may not be aware of.
  3. Spirit invites you to tap into your intuition. It’s not always easy to trust ourselves, especially when every day we are bombarded with external influences, whether it be from well meaning loved ones or strangers on social media. This card aims to cut through the noise and help you to feel grounded and connected to your higher self.

This can be a general spread and is great if you want to dig a bit deeper into your spiritual side and intuition. If you do have a question in mind though, it can also help you to see how the elements may be working together, or against each other.

  1. Fire represents the suit of Wands. It symbolises passion, drive, inspiration and the energy needed to guide you in the right direction.
  2. Water represents Cups. Emotions can often simmer under the surface and you may not be aware of just how much they are affecting your decision making. This card can represent our emotions, relationships and our intuition.
  3. Air represents Swords. This card can relate to our thoughts, logic, mindset and intellect. If you feel conflicted about something, this card can help make sense of it.
  4. Earth represents Pentacles. This is symbolic of the material realm such as our health, finances, and stability.
  5. Spirit card helps us tie everything together. There is a lot going on in this spread but this card can help you to focus on the primary issue at hand. If there is a driving force at play, this card can help you to figure out where your priorities are.
  1. Your Energy whether conscious or subconscious, this card represents the energy you are currently bringing to the relationship. It isn’t always easy to see things clearly, especially when you are on the inside. This card can help bring things to the surface.
  2. Your Partner’s Energy represents what they are subconsciously or consciously bringing to the relationship.
  3. What your Connection Is symbolises the glue that keeps this thing going. What brought you together in the first place? Do you recognise the people you once were? This card is in the centre of the spread for a reason.
  4. Relationship Strengths represents what you most love about the partnership. Sometimes, when things are rough it can be hard to focus on the strengths. They are there and the fact that you are considering this spread means that, on some level, you need to be reminded of what they are.
  5. Relationship Weaknesses can be a tough one. It takes two people to build a strong relationship and we don’t always like to focus on the negative. Sometimes though, this can be exactly what is needed to get us back on track. Ultimately, all of these cards tie in together to create a solid foundation. Everything has a dark and a light side. You are strong.
  1. Your Current Energy can give us a baseline to determine what energy you could bring to a potential relationship. Is this a relationship you are currently in? Are you holding onto negative energy from a past experience? Do you have an open mind and open heart ready to let somebody else in? Lets find out.
  2. What you are looking for is an interesting one. This is where keeping an open mind can be very beneficial. Sometimes, what we think we want can muddy our perceptions and we can miss out on amazing opportunities. This can give you an idea of what you are looking for but please remember, nothing is set in stone and you can change your mind.
  3. Spiritual Messages can be helpful for breaking through any mental barriers we may have put up. This can sometimes help with the “what you are looking for” card too. It could also be totally separate and simply wants to provide you with some spiritual guidance.
  4. What you need to do is a taking action card. It can give you an indication of what steps you need to take in order to make the necessary changes.
  5. What do you need to let go of can be a very cathartic card. It can sometimes link in with “your current energy” if there have been things you are holding onto. We all hold onto things subconsciously and they can have a real impact on our relationships.
