This card usually appears to signify someone who is being dishonest and manpulating others for their own gain. It reminds us to be cautious and vigilant as people may have a hidden agenda.
How the Seven of Swords is Relevant to Me
There are some days where I struggle to sit down with the cards and today is one of them. I really didn’t want to pull a card but in reality, those days are the days I should do it the most.
I am naturally quite a cynical person and don’t trust easily. I love the idea that most people are good but in all honesty, I think the majority of people are simply self serving. This has made it very hard over the years for me to form solid friendships. I mentioned in a post some time ago that this is something I struggle with and a lot of it comes down to what is revealed by The Seven of Swords.
I have been burnt in the past whenever I have tried to open myself up to the possibility of friendship. It always amazes me how easily people can lie and for others to just believe things without question. I worry and overthink way too much and have never been good at taking things or people at face value.
Lately I have been considering putting myself out there and trying to build more social connections. I don’t know where to start or even whether it is worth trying. I think I will need to sit with this card for the day and reflect on why it may have come up.
