Queen of Wands

Upright Keywords: Creativity, ambition

Symbolism & Meaning

The Queen of Wands is one of the most dynamic figures in the Tarot deck. Historically she has been referred to as “the witch of the tarot”. In her case, this refers to her ability to manifest as opposed to a connection to a particular religion. The black cat sat by her feet supports this rhetoric. As with all the Queens in tarot, she represents feminine energy embodying strength, charisma, and creativity.

How the Queen of Wands is Relevant to Me

The Queen of Wands is a sign to me that I need to embrace my power and fully embrace a leadership opportunity. As I do this I need to be aware that I am protected and guided by the divine.

I need to listen to my intuition to grow by own business and take action towards achieving this goal. My creativity and enthusiasm are key to my success.

On a personal level, I need to focus on my spiritual practice. Before I got up this morning I was browsing some sites about crystal rituals so I may delve into that a bit more today. I also need to spend more time in nature. Essex is a very rural county but my least favourite place to live in. I don’t feel connected to nature at all here and I didn’t realise how much I needed that in my life. I really hope that my kids leave Essex behind and find much nicer places to live.

I also need to work on my self esteem and self worth. I think I will be doing this alongside my EMDR therapy. She touched on a couple of things that triggered me out of the blue so that will come, I am sure.

It’s Saturday though and I feel the need to chill out a bit. I am going to make myself a coffee and have an M & S muffin for breakfast. Yesterday I went to our local M & S food court for the first time in over four months! I treated myself to some tasty overpriced bits and I do not feel guilty one bit!
