How The Hermit is Relevant to Me

I don’t know why but I really love this card. Since being in the bubble of a hospital environment and then spending time non weight bearing and being in bed for a lot of the day, I am finding that I have gotten used to lots of alone time.

It’s Sunday and unusually, I was the last person up. On a weekday, Steve leaves for work early and the kids sleep in. I usually get up, do my tarot reading and my journal and have breakfast, all in total silence. This morning, everyone is in the lounge and talking to my whilst I do this. I don’t mind, it’s actually really nice having everyone together but, it has made me realise how much I have come to value solitude and alone time.

I feel like I am deep in the middle of a soul searching journey and I will definitely appreciate the time I get to myself to do this. On the other hand, if I feel that I need to step away and take some time for myself in a busy environment, that is ok too.
