Symbolism & Meaning

The Magician holds the power of four elements; earth, air fire and water. Combined with the connection to the divine, he can create unlimited abundance. The Magician holds a wand in one hand reaching towards the sky. His other hand is pointing towards the ground. The infinity symbol above his head symbolises a connection between the physical and spiritual world. The four suits are represented on the table in front of him: a wand for fire, a pentacle for earth, a sword for air and a cup for water.

How The Magician is Relevant to Me

I am the Magician and with all of the elements combined, I have everything I need to let creation be my guide. I have the power to manifest my dreams and turn them into reality.

Pulling this card today is a reminder that I am more powerful than I know. From a career point of view, if I want to start my own business, now is the time. I definitely feel that this is spot on. Since I have been feeling more mobile, I have this overwhelming desire to fully take the steps needed to start my own business. Much of this is dependent on certain financial matters falling into place but I am in the initial stages.

On a personal level, drawing this card shows that I am craving the need for a spiritual practice and a connection to the divine. I have read that this can be very common following a traumatic event. There are stories of people suddenly becoming very religious or selling their worldly belongings to travel the world. I get that. This daily ritual is a small but very important part of my day. I look forward to sitting down with my cards and I enjoy the process of looking inside in order to manifest what is on the outside. I intend to do more with this. I want to study the tarot fully and deepen my understanding of all the cards and their traditional meanings. I want to explore crystals and their healing powers. Over 20 years ago my brother gave me a box of a few selected crystals. He had hand written their meanings on tiny pieces of paper. I still have this and use them every day when I do my own readings. I definitely feel something when I am around them, I don’t fully understand it yet but I want to.
