Symbolism & Meaning
The pratagonist in this scenario isn’t happy with his work. At this point, he is feeling so overwhelmed that he can’t even acknowledge the fourth cup that his assistant is trying to offer. Once this kind of mental block takes hold, it is very difficult to get past it. There is nothing wrong with being a perfectionist but please try not to let this have a negative impact. Maybe your expectations vs reality are a bit off. Take a step back and try to see the bigger picture. This is a marathon not a sprint so try to remain calm, focussed and the rest will come.
How The Four of Cups is Relevant to Me
I think it is safe to say that I am feeling a bit overwhelmed this week. Launching a business is tough and for me, the hardest part to wrap my head around is social media. We are in a very different world where reels seem to rule the internet. We can thank our short attention spans and over stimulation for that. To be fair though, it is quite enjoyable and it does make me feel productive. However, I am finding that when I sit down to start creating an actual piece of silver jewellery, I feel anxious and under pressure. All of a sudden the craft that I started as a way to relax and aide my recovery has now become something else entirely.
I have reached a point where I need to create a work schedule and try to stick to it. I have so much swirling around my head and I do not know where to start.
Overwhelm has been something I struggle with historically. I have let it win in the past so I need to create a buffer to stop these intrusive thoughts from taking hold.
