The Ace of Pentacles

Upright Keywords: New beginnings, abundance

Symbolism & Meaning

This card shows a hand emerging from a cloud, holding a single pentacle with a garden in bloom below. All pentacle cards symbolise material wealth but the Ace, being the first card in the suit, represents new beginnings and opportunities. This card encourages you to embrace new ventures or investments that could lead to greater prosperity. You are at the start of this journey. Hard work and thinking practically are key to creating tangible results. Remaining grounded is important going forward and you need to ensure that you have the right tools around you to help with this.

How The Ace of Pentacles is Relevant to Me

This wasn’t the first card I have pulled since I have been doing my journal but, it was the first card I recorded on here. I had a quick peek at what I wrote that day and a lot has changed since then; crazy seeing as it really wasn’t that long ago.

The main thing is that yes, the compensation amount has been agreed on and yes, we do know when we will receive it. We don’t know the exact date but apparently, it has to be within 28 days of when it was accepted, which I work out to be around the 7th August. That seems so far away but I am learning to be more patient and I am getting used to having to embrace this, begrudgingly.

Other than that and the fact that I am fully focused on creating two businesses, not much else has changed which is relevant to pulling this card today. I have been thinking about what investments to make so in that regard, it makes perfect sense that this card came to me. At the moment, the only investment I am seriously considering is Premium Bonds. My dad used to have a real obsession with these, probably driven by his love of a cheeky gamble or so! Confession, I also flipping love to gamble. I stay away from the websites because I do tend to get carried away. I may have a little go when the money comes in but I wont take it too far. Anyway, that is the only investment on my list, if you can really call it that. The main thing I want to do is just put the majority of it away where it can’t be reached or touched. Some of it I will put aside for investing in my business and obviously, we want to buy a narrowboat. I am not used to having to make these kinds of decisions and at the moment it doesn’t feel real.

It will be interesting to see the cards that follow once it hits my bank account!
