Symbolism & Meaning
The image shows an angelic figure standing with one foot on land and the other in a flowing river. The angel is pouring water from one cup into another, representing how the different elements can blend together to create one harmonious flow. Two elements are represented here; fire (the sun) and water (the river). This combination tells us that we can achieve emotional stability, however, we will need to utilise self control and patience. The divine is there to support us.
How Temperance is Relevant to Me
Patience and moderation have never been words in my vocabulary. I really struggle with this and I may have mentioned it when this card came up previously.
The bottom line is, I have an opportunity to create something that I have always dreamt of. It wont be easy and it will take a long time to turn it into a business however, I need to have faith that I can do it. I give up on myself very easily. I don’t know where it comes from (well I do) but I know that I have this deep rooted fear that I am not good enough.
Temperance tells me that I am not alone. I can look to the divine for assistance and guidance when I am struggling. Timing is a big factor in all of this and I need to trust that these opportunities will become available to me.
I will be sharing my creative journey online too. I am hoping that by making myself accountable, it will stop me from giving up when the gremlins creep up and takeover my thoughts and feelings.
