Judgement

Upright Keywords: Awakening, acceptance

Symbolism & Meaning

In this card we see an angel blowing a trumpet while people raise from their graves below. The sound of the trumpet represents a call to awaken our true selves and embrace transformation. The figures rising from the graves symbolise rebirth and the opportunity for redemption. A period of self reflection is necessary before you can move forward with your journey. This is telling us we need to let go of past mistakes, releasing any guilt or regrets and embrace forgiveness. This is the only way we can truly move on.

How The Judgement Card is Relevant to Me

I knew when I was shuffling the cards this morning that I was going to pick a Major Arcana card, and that it would be a heavy one. This card often appears when you are at a crossroads, or facing important decisions that will impact your future. It is urging me to listen to my inner voice and trust my intuition as I navigate through this transformative stage.

I have been thinking about my tendencies a lot lately. There have been so many times when I have wanted to back myself but I never fully went through with it. I did this with my cake decorating business (admittedly, the logistics of this at home with two toddlers was a mistake), I did it with my teaching, personal assistant training and I can feel myself doing it again with my crafts. Even this, my tarot site is sitting unpublished because I am too afraid to take the next step!

( I totally will do this, I love the tarot and want to share it).

A few years ago I explored the possibility of learning silversmithing. I even went as far as to purchase some basic equipment. The only thing stopping me was the expense. Now, as part of my research into macrame jewellery making, I have come across it again. Unfortunately, traditional silversmithing is not an option, now and possibly into the future, due to my ongoing hand rehabilitation. When I dabbled in cake decorating, the worst part by far was preparing the cake for the decorative bits. I absolutely loved making the sugar flowers and learning how to model. However, I hated the fact that these bits were never really eaten and most of the time, ended up in the bin.

Enter silver clay. The nature of this material means that I can utilise many of the skills I developed whilst studying cake decorating, in solid silver form. This is very exciting to me. I am still in the beginning phase of this but the biggest hurdle I need to overcome is my fear of backing myself. Silver clay is expensive but I feel like there is a reason it has come back into my orbit now, a time that feels quite pivotal in terms of my personal development and future endeavours.

Today I will be trying to figure some stuff out. Everything is very intense right now but I need to embrace my gifts and take one day at a time.
