Symbolism & Meaning
The Queen of Cups sits at the edge of the water holding a goblet. She has a deep connection to water and therefore to her emotions and intuition. She cares deeply for other people and wants nothing more than for those people to be happy and fulfilled. This card is encouraging you to tap into your own emotions and lead from your heart.
How The Queen of Cups is Relevant to Me
The cups are the suit of emotions and I have been a wreck the last few days. I am trying to get a handle on it and put things into perspective but it’s a challenge. The Queen of Cups symbolises emotional stability so at least I can take comfort knowing that my attempts to keep things in check haven’t gone unnoticed in the spiritual world.
Today though, I need to be particularly aware of my emotions as we are leaving the kids alone overnight for the first time. Ok so “technically” they have been left alone before, on the night of my accident. I was totally unaware of what was going on though so for me, that doesn’t count.
I am a worrier, especially about the kids and in my mind I catastrophise a lot. I try not to verbalise it but the things that rush through my mind are crazy and very unlikely to happen.
I need to adopt the stable serene energy of The Queen of Cups and show my children that I trust them and that they are safe. It’s not bloody easy though!
