He knows that he has everything he needs, he has worked hard for it. Now though it is time to think about slowing down. As he sits here, he ponders over what it has taken to get to this point. All the long, thankless hours and time away from home. Now though, he gets to enjoy it and enjoy it he must. Otherwise, what is the point?
How The King of Pentacles is Relevant to Me
Oh how I would love to be The King of Pentacles right now. It feels like we are so close but not quite there yet. That’s ok though because, for the first time ever, our goal feels accessible. Many things need to align to make it possible in our dream timeframe so we shall see!
I must admit, I am struggling with the waiting for this money to hit my bank account. For most (normal) people, this wouldn’t be a life changing amount of money. They might pay off some of the mortgage then maybe buy a nice car or have a luxury holiday. For us though, this truly is a life changing amount of money. This money means that (if everything aligns, teenager wise) we can potentially be living a nomadic lifestyle in five years time. No debt, no ties and hopefully, fully off grid on our fully equipped narrowboat. The thought of that may fill many people with dread. For us though, this is total freedom. Not just financial freedom but actual freedom from societal norms.
For the next five years though (I am remaining optimistic on this timeframe), we will have our boat as our home away from home.
I just yearn for the day when I can sit, like the King of Pentacles but, on my narrowboat. Wood burner roaring away, glass of wine in hand and the same feeling of total relaxation and accomplishment.
