Symbolism & Meaning
A witch, along with her companion and cat, battle through the elements to find shelter. They have come across a house that looks welcoming, but will that be the case? Will the kindness of strangers come through for them this time or will they have to struggle on, hoping to find someone else who will take pity on them and give them comfort? You have had a rough time, not necessarily financially but it could be physically. You may be feeling like things are never going to get better and that this is your new reallity. That may not be the case at all, for whatever reason, you are just too fed up to see it. It is not always easy but try to stay positive. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
How The Five of Pentacles is Relevant to Me
I have been feeling lately like I have plateaued with my recovery. I have some days where my pain levels drop significantly and then out of nowhere it comes back. It feels so frustrating because it is hard to see an end to it. I am hoping that my MRI in October will shed some light on what could be causing the constant nerve pain but I am starting to wonder if this is just how it is going to be from now on. I am defintely walking better and often, don’t need to use my walking stick. On days like today though, I wouldn’t feel confident tackling certain terrains without it.
My hand has also stiffened up quite a lot and isn’t so responsive to the exercises that I try and do daily. I have found ways to adapt so that I can complete most of my every day activities but it still feels quite limiting.
I think ultimately, I worry that I simply will not recover to the same me that I was before the accident. This is hard to admit but at this point, that is honestly how I feel. I know I am lucky and most of the time, I do not feel sorry for myself at all and am just trying to manage my new normal the best way I can. Some days though, I just feel the need to acknowledge that it sucks and I miss so much about what I used to be able to do.
