Symbolism & Meaning
This card has come up very recently so it must feature heavily in your longer term future. The Major Arcana cards symbolise the bigger picture on our journey through life. The Fool is the first card and is at the beginning of this journey. He isn’t afraid to take a leap and does so full of innocence and with no real expectatations set. The small bag he carries represents his simple and minimilistic approach to life. He has no interest in conforming to societal norms and wants to live life his way.
How The Fool is Relevant to Me
I think it is interesting that this card has come up so quickly again. For the first time in my life, I feel like I may be on track to live it the way I truly desire. I have always done things a bit differently and nobody is ever surprised when I tell them I have got a different job or am moving to a new County! The thought of staying in one place for too long is very suffocating to me and I am hoping that our boat will placate my need to keep moving.
I would love to know where this comes from and if anyone in our family tree was the same. My mum seems to think we have gypsy blood on her dad’s side of the family but we have never got round to investigating. I would also love to know if anyone else feels the same way but have just never done anything about it. I am lucky that Steve has needed to move around so much with his job. If he didn’t, I think I would have struggled to settle in one place long term. I am also fortunate that he is willing to embrace my bonkers desire to live on a narrowboat!
This afternoon we are packing up the car with all of our boat purchases! Tomorrow we meet the sellers and the transfer of ownership will be complete. We will then spend the day cleaning, tidying and generally planning what we want to do with our new home from home. I cannot wait!
