Symbolism & Meaning

The Page of Swords has a million and one things flying around her head! She has big ideas but has to stay focused in order not to be distracted. We can see that she has her head in a book, whilst also trying to keep her balance. This is pretty standard for The Page of Swords. The lightbulbs she carries symbolise all of the other ideas swirling around her. The birds will not distract her today. If she is distracted she will lose track of what is fact and what is just in her overactive mind.

How the Page of Swords is Relevant to Me

Well this is an interesting card to get today. We are up early and getting ready to head out for a full day of research for our future endeavours!

It feels like all of a sudden I have a lot going on. I am building my tarot journal and website, I have become addicted to making silver jewellery and we are beginning our narrowboat search.

I have been extremely restless and am finding it hard to sit down even for five minutes. If it wasn’t for this journal, I am not sure what I would do with all of the ideas and dreams I have for the future.

Today though, I do need to stay focused. We are heading to a marina in Northampton to view narrowboats. Apparently, you give them a list of what you are looking for then, two at a time, you get the keys to the boats to peruse at your leisure. I am so excited I can hardly contain it. I do have a tendency to get carried away but we are spending a lot of money so I do need to keep myself in check. Thankfully, Steve is a bit more pragmatic than me so we do balance each other well in these situations.

There are many things we are looking for and it will definitely be a case of head and heart when it comes to making decisions. I am hoping we find a boat that ticks both of those off perfectly.

First though, we need to find a marina to keep our boat when we are not using it. We are viewing two today and we need to make a decision on that swiftly. There is no point buying a boat if we have nowhere to put it!

Even as I read this back, I can sense the chaos in my head right now! It’s all good though.
